The Summer @ City Hall (S@CH) program is a collaboration between the City of Sacramento, Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD), Twin Rivers School District (TRUSD), Natomas Unified School District (NUSD), and WayUp Sacramento. The program will be open to current high school Sophomores and Juniors for the 2019 – 2020 school year in Spring of 2020. Applicants must either attend a SCUSD, TRUSD, or NUSD high school or MUST live within the Sacramento City Limits to apply.

The S@CH program is a six-week summer learning experience that provides students the opportunity to learn local government processes and how to become an active member of their community.  Students are supported throughout the program by credentialed teachers that deliver a curriculum focusing on civic engagement, governmental structure and youth development.  This program is an exciting way to learn how to find your inner voice and bring a youth perspective to real city issues and concerns.

The Summer @ City Hall program (S@CH) is a six-week program with regular instructional classroom sessions Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM -12:00 PM and is located at New City Hall and Historic City Hall. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided. Students are required to complete a 42-hour internship in addition to the regular instructional classroom sessions. Internship schedules and locations vary depending on internship assignments but are in the afternoons after classroom instruction.
