response to covid-19
The health and safety of the Sacramento community and employees remains our top priority. We are closely monitoring the daily changes of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and are taking actions from public health experts, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and our community leaders. As COVID-19 continues to impact our communities across the world, Parking Services is sensitive to the needs of our community and in response are taking the following temporary actions until further notice:
Free Metered Parking After 4:30 p.m. & All Day Weekends until further notice
ONLINE AND CONTACTLESS SERVICES AVAILABLE:
Residential Permits: (New and Renewals) Please submit Online Request Portal. Any physical permits requested will be issued to resident via US Mail. Enforcement grace period will last for up to 60 days after Shelter-In-Place order is lifted. Effective January 1, 2021, Vehicle Permit bumper stickers will be discontinued in permit areas undergoing renewals. Virtual Vehicle permits that use the vehicle's license plate number as the "permit number" will be issued in lieu of Vehicle Permit stickers. Replacement permits ($25 fee) for any other permit area will continue to be in physical form until that permit area enters a renewal period. Due to the effects of COVID-19, please pardon any delays in processing or mailing of residential permits.
DEPP & PTEP: Renewals must be done via the online form and require attachment of: valid state-issued identification and pay stub (interns and volunteers need signed and dated verification letter from employer). New participants, please email a completed application as an attachment along with a valid state-issued identification and pay stub. Renewal periods are March and September.
Local Business Delivery Zone Requests: Temporary Delivery Zones for Local Businesses are available (Email request)
Essential Worker Commuter Specials: $6 Early Bird Rate At City-owned Garages (park before 10 a.m., exit after 4 p.m.). Discounted $3 Early Bird Rates available online.*Discount conditions apply. Rates subject to change at any time.
Parking Enforcement: Focus on safety violations and ensuring parking spaces posted for City Services are kept clear on restriction days and hours. Citations will be issued for safety violation or vehicles with multiple warnings.
Customer Service Counter: Parking customer service counters are closed until further notice at the New City Hall Revenue Division and the Sacramento Marina. For assistance, please contact us by email or phone.
The SacPark Reservation system offers the option to reserve your spot ahead of time at any City-owned garage or Certified Partner parking facility. Reservations are available only for events listed on the site.
